Templates

This section contains many downloadable templates for all sorts of checks and logs that are routinely required to be completed. Some are available to download as two different types:

• The templates in Excel (.csv or .xls) format are designed to be filled in using a PC. They can be downloaded and then opened using ®Microsoft Office's Excel spreadsheet program which most schools use. Once filled in, they can be printed off and/or saved to your computer for future reference.
• Some files are also in ®Adobe Acrobat format. These are designed to be downloaded and printed off to be filled in by hand.

Some logs are often required to be completed by law such as the yearly school stock inventory. In this case, schools may already have their own format that they must use. Others may be completed only for the benefit of the science department such as a full chemical log. These generally differ from school to school and may contain many different kinds of information. We have tried to include in these templates the most useful fields and have left them open to customisation where required, allowing you to change fields or titles to suit your needs. Some such as the lab equipment check sheets have a list of standard equipment already listed. These can be added to, deleted or amended as necessary before you fill them in or print them off.
