Earth and Space > Wind Chill Chart

The tables below gives approximate wind chill values for specific temperatures. When investigating thermal insulation properties, it may be useful to have access to these values.

The Wind Chill Temperature (WCT) is better known as the 'feels like' temperature. It is based on the rate of heat loss from exposed human skin caused by the combined effects of wind and cold. As the wind increases, the body cools at a faster rate, causing a drop in skin temperature and eventually the temperature in the body core.
