PAT - Portable Appliance Testing
In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment (Newnes) (Paperback)
This book details UK regulations on testing electrical equipment. The legal requirements for regular testing of all electrical equipment in work environments and public places have made testing a major growth area for electricians over recent years. Many staff without electrical training, such as maintenance staff and caretakers, are also being nominated by their employers to carry out electrical safety testing. This book is ideal for electricians administering PAT, and non-specialists following a City & Guilds course. It has been written specifically to meet the demands of the City & Guilds 2377 exam, and is the only available text for this course.
Code of Practice for In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment (Paperback)
This manual offers a code of practice for the in-service inspection and testing of electrical equipment. It includes advice on compliance with health and safety legislation. The text specifies the frequency and scope of inspections and testing in different environments. It covers everything you need to know when taking the C&G exam and is very useful for reference after you have qualified. Contains details about appliance types, legal aspects and safety advice.
Electrical Safety Handbook (Hardcover)
This must-have, accident-avoiding prescription for personnel (including electricians, electrical system designers, inspectors, and engineers) working on or near electrical circuits at any voltage level-offers crucial protective safety strategies in industrial and commercial systems. It features detailed guidelines for setting up effective safety programs, covers medical emergency procedures, and provides examples and case studies throughout. The second edition includes new regulations-OSHA, NEC NESC, NFPA; increased coverage of safety procedures; expanded material on safety audits; and more guidance on establishing in-house training programs.
