Clay Pipe Triangle

Summary

A triangular metal and ceramic device for holding a crucible.

Operation

Clay pipe triangles consist of metal wires twisted into a triangle shape with ceramic pipe sections and are used to safely hold a small crucible on a tripod.

Many sizes are available and it is important to use the correct size for the type of crucible you are heating- triangles that are too small or damaged may allow the crucible to slip through.

Pipe clay triangles allow the crucible to be heated directly and are less cumbersome than crucible tongs.
