Philip Harris have been providing the Survival Rivals kits for the Wellcome Trust, and this year, Survival Rivals: The Competition has launched, with a prize of a trip to the Galapagos Islands for the winning team. Open to all secondary schools (11-19), entries must feature a kit being used, and documented either through a short film or a series of images.
To enter you need to conduct the experiments, then make films or take photographs of your results, showing how you have brought science to life.
During October 2010 half term, a teacher and four students will follow in Darwin's footsteps on a FREE trip to the Galapagos Islands accompanied by a creative practitioner.
Students from each of the nine English regions and Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales will be awarded fantastic runner up prizes.
All regional winners will be invited to a Celebration Day in June 2010 where the overall winner will be announced and runner-up prizes will be presented.
The deadline for entries is 21st May 2010.
